Our Non-Toxic Candles

We never use paraffin or pre-mixed wax blends. Every Botanical Republic candle is hand-poured using 100 percent natural, clean-burning waxes made from coconut, olive, and sunflower. These renewable plant-based waxes provide a superior burn and align with our sustainability values.

They produce minimal soot, burn evenly, and offer a longer-lasting, cleaner experience. They also carry fragrance beautifully, releasing a soft, true aroma without harsh undertones. Our wicks are made with unbleached cotton and contain no lead or metal cores, ensuring a stable burn that releases only the pure essence of the candle, not harmful pollutants.

Coconut Wax is made from the cold-pressed meat of coconuts. It burns cleanly, holds fragrance exceptionally well, and creates a smooth, creamy finish. It is renewable, biodegradable, and requires no pesticides or fertilizers to grow.

Olive Wax is a byproduct of the olive oil industry. It is hypoallergenic, non-toxic, and naturally soft. Its smooth texture allows for an even burn and a subtle natural scent that pairs beautifully with essential oils.

Sunflower Wax is derived from sustainably grown sunflowers. It provides balance and structure to our blend, helps the candle burn evenly, extends its life, and maintains scent integrity.

Many brands promote phthalate-free fragrances, but that does not necessarily mean they are toxin-free. Synthetic fragrances can still contain undisclosed stabilizers, petroleum-derived compounds, or allergens that may trigger headaches, irritation, or respiratory discomfort.

At Botanical Republic, we use only natural and naturally derived fragrance compounds. Each scent is formulated with essential oils and plant-based aroma molecules for purity, safety, and performance. The result is an elegant, complex aroma that uplifts without overwhelming and is free from synthetic fillers and masking agents.
